Meet Dr. My-Hanh Vu, practice owner
Dr. My-Hanh Vu is an Ohio native and received her undergraduate and doctorate degrees from The Ohio State University. Dr. Vu became exposed to the East Coast during her training at OMNI Eye Services of New Jersey and New York, a surgical center that treats a variety of end-stage eye conditions. At OMNI, she developed a vested interested in ocular pathology. She expanded her knowledge of ocular disease at the Cleveland Veteran Affairs hospital and the ophthalmology department at Case Western Reserve University. These experiences have vastly shaped Dr. Vu's dedication to early recognition and prevention of ocular disease. This is why she stresses the importance of yearly eye exams and UV protection for your eyes. In addition, Dr. Vu has extensive experience with complicated contact lens evaluations from multifocal to rigid gas permeable contacts for keratoconus. She is dedicated to staying on the forefront of contact lens technology through meetings with contact lens representatives and attending continuing education courses. Dr. Vu is a member of the American Optometric Association and volunteers for Onesight missions, providing complementary eye exams for underprivileged patients.
During her free time, Dr. Vu enjoys eating everything the city has to offer, and especially gets excited when she finds a hidden gem in the city. Dr. Vu delves into her creative side through oil painting and writing poetry. She also enjoys traveling to historical cities, hiking in upstate New York, and playing tennis.
